I need health insurance for when Im in another country till I get my citizenship what do I go with?

The IND says I need abroad health insurance prior to getting citizenship then I can transfer to my wifes health insurance after I get citizenship which would be in a couple of months.. what kind of medical insurance do I go with something cheap would be favorable...I applied for international health insurance which was annual and was declined cause 7 years ago I had cancer.. Please someone help me..
