Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle, Dumb and Dumber?

If so, who is dumb and who is dumber? Dan Quayle was spontaneous and made silly mistakes (some of the things he's most notorious for are spelling mistakes...). He did go to a decent law school. Palin is scripted, comes across as robotic, and still manages to say SCARY things. I remember laughing at Dan Quayle, but don't recall that he had a profound ignorance of the issues.
